Privacy Policy

SafeShare Photo respects your privacy. The app is designed to help you redact sensitive information in photos while keeping processing on your device.

1. Data We Collect

SafeShare Photo does not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal data.

• No account required
• No self-hosted server
• No third-party analytics SDK
• No advertising SDK
• No photo upload
• No cloud storage for original photos

2. Photo Processing

Photos you select are processed only on your device. The app uses iOS system capabilities for face detection, text detection, manual region selection, pixelate, blur, and blackout redaction.

The app can remove EXIF/GPS metadata from exported images. Processed images are shared or saved only when you choose to do so.

3. Face Data

SafeShare Photo uses Apple's Vision framework (VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest) to detect face regions entirely on-device. Face detection runs exclusively on your device with no network connection required.

• No collection: Face data is never collected, stored, or transmitted off your device.
• Temporary detection: Face detection results (bounding box coordinates) are temporary and discarded as soon as you close the photo or exit the editor.
• No sharing: No face data is shared with any third party.
• Detection only: The app only detects bounding box locations of face regions for redaction purposes. It does not perform face recognition, face identification, or facial landmark analysis beyond what is necessary to draw a redaction box.

4. Photos Permission

The app may request add-only Photos permission only when you choose to save a processed image to your photo library. It does not use this permission to read or upload your photos.

5. In-App Purchases

SafeShare Photo Pro is a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase. Purchases and restore purchases are processed by Apple App Store through StoreKit. We do not receive your bank card, payment account, billing address, or other payment credentials.

6. Third-Party Services

SafeShare Photo does not integrate or use any third-party AI services, APIs, analytics, or advertising SDKs. All photo processing — including face detection, text detection, and license plate detection — runs locally on your device using Apple's built-in system frameworks (Vision, Core Graphics). No personal data is sent to any external server or service.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not knowingly collect children's data.

8. Changes to This Policy

If future versions add new features that change data handling, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
